In an age where technology in the form of social media can be detrimental to our mental health, at doddle we’re making sure we can flip the narrative – creating digital solutions that boost mental health.
When working with clients and projects we always make sure they align with our ethos; we want to make a positive difference. We choose to work on projects that have a real purpose and hopefully have a positive impact in the wider community.
As people we often spend most of our time at work, and so it is vital the workplace is a happy place. We are thrilled to have been on an exciting journey over the last 3 years with our client Cognomie and their vision to create a digital coaching space where mental health professionals are intelligently paired with people in the workplace. Pioneers in the exciting area of “mental fitness” Cognomie have seen a profound improvement in their customerse’ mental wellbeing and overall workforce productivity as a result
Practising what we preach; as a diverse team based all over the UK, from Edinburgh to Brighton, it’s not as simple as just checking in with the team every morning over a coffee – instead we have had to embrace virtual meetings to plan the week ahead and see who needs a hand. Luckily, we enjoy each other's company, so team meet ups, for Christmas parties or summer drinks are organised regularly. Making sure our colleagues aren't just faces in a virtual call is important to us. Working online allows us to have a better work life balance, cutting out the lengthy morning commute, and the evening rush hour, gives our team more time to be with friends and family, ultimately improving their day-to-day wellbeing.
Given our office is situated in the old green keeper's lodge at Doncaster Golf Course – it would be rude not to find time to make the most of our surroundings as a way to refresh! At dawn and/or dusk you may find one or two of our team stretching their legs (and their handicaps) for 9 holes or so. Sport has a huge impact on mental health, from solo exercise to team sports the benefits can be life changing. According to Sport England, the number of children who continue to play sports in secondary school is continuing to fall. Trying to combat this and make children fall in love with sports were PowrKidz. We teamed up with them to develop a digital app designed to enhance children's health and wellbeing through digital innovation, providing sporting activities both in school and at home. This proved detrimental for so many families during the pandemic. Matt Freeston, CEO of the Learners Trust notes "The PowrKidz platform has got so much material, and there’s so much thinking behind that material, that it helps Teachers deliver high-quality lessons in a simple and effective way.’
Ultimatley there has never been a better time to achieve a better work - life balance, from virtual meetings and digital tools that support you, to working in a society where we have destigmatized the topic of mental health, finding the balance has never been easier. We value collaboration between real people and look forward to growing both old and new client friendships in 2024.
